Overview

If you’re a Marketplace seller and have a catalog set up, you may want to fulfill certain items with WFS. You can quickly convert a single item to Walmart-fulfilled within Seller Center. To convert multiple items, use the Conversion Spec sheet. Make sure your items are set up as seller-fulfilled first, without errors, not WFS prohibited products, and that the offer end date is in the future.

Convert a single item

1. Log into Seller Center and go to Items. 2. Search for your item by SKU, Walmart item ID or name. 3. Scroll to the end of the row and select the three dots. Choose Fulfill with WFS from the options. 4. Fill in the offer and fulfillment & compliance tabs with new information for your Walmart-fulfilled item.

Convert multiple items

1. Log into Seller Center and go to Items.

2. Go to the Manage Items dropdown and select Fulfill items with WFS.3. Scroll to the end of the row and select the three dots. Choose Fulfill with WFS from the options.

3. Choose items by GTIN match or category. We'll generate a template with your items.

By GTIN match

By matching through GTIN, we’ll populate the spec with information that’s already in our catalog. Just enter your GTINs, separated by commas, in the text box. (If you don’t know an item’s GTIN, look it up in your Inventory page.)

Once you select Match, our system will verify the GTINs. If there are any errors, you won’t be able to download the spec. Here are common issues:

  • Entering invalid GTINs
  • Entering more than the 5,000 GTIN limit
  • Submitting items that are in more than seven categories at once

Once your submitted GTINs are approved, it may take time to process the spec. Select Refresh if you don’t see a new line appear in the download field. When your file is ready to download, the status column will say Processed.

By category

To download a blank category spec, select By Category. Use this option to update multiple items of the same category at the same time. Choose your item category from the dropdown menu to download.

Attributes will vary by category, so make sure you choose the correct category. If you aren’t sure which to use, see Item Categorization Guide for Item Spec 4.0. (For Fashion, the Season code is specific to reflect the seasons in a year. If you aren’t sure which category to use, contact Seller Support.)

From BizMentor

Once you select which items to send to WFS through Biz Mentor, you’ll select Convert, which will generate a spec file available. From there, you’ll see a pop-up showing the steps you need to follow to finish converting your items to WFS. Select Create and complete spec, then follow these steps once you’re on the Convert Items to WFS page:

  1. Select by GTIN match from the options available. You don’t have to provide additional GTIN information in step 2 on this page because you’ve already selected the items you intend to convert.
  2. Find the most recently processed spec file, then download, complete and save it.
  3. Upload the completed spec file.

Upload the completed spec

For best practices and tips on filling out the spec, see the WFS item spec sheet guide. After you've filled in the spec, upload it on the same page where you downloaded the file.

Pre-validation for your spec

Our system will check for errors — such as missing attributes, wrong data type, invalid check digit — within a few seconds. If there are any, the error spec will automatically download in your browser.

In the report, you’ll see the number of errors and descriptions in columns A and B. The cells that contain errors will also be highlighted in yellow. Correct the errors in the report and reupload it.

Notes

Make sure your item dimensions are accurate. We measure items during receiving, and mismatched dimensions may affect your WFS fees.

Track status

You can track your item setup status about one minute after you successfully submit the spec. In the side navigation, go to the Activity Feed. If there are any errors in your spec, also see Troubleshooting item feed errors for help.

The Activity Feed shows the following information:

  • Feed ID: The reference ID for your spec, generated during upload
  • Feed Type: You can filter items by the type of feed. To see the status of a conversion spec, go to the Feed Type dropdown and select WFS Convert
  • Date & Time: The date and time that the file was submitted and began processing
  • Status: The status of the file. Processed means that items have been successfully set up. Error means that there’s inaccurate data, or the item is being held for a compliance review.
  • Submitted: The number of SKUs that were submitted in the spec
  • Processed: The number of SKUs that successfully processed
  • Pending: The number of SKUs that are still being processed
  • Errors: Click the eye icon in this field to see what the errors are.
  • Error Report: Click the download icon to get the error report.
