Overview

Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) allows Marketplace sellers to leverage Walmart’s end-to-end logistics services, from imports to storage to 2-day fulfillment* and beyond. When a customer places an order on Walmart.com, we’ll pick, pack and ship the item to the customer on the seller’s behalf. WFS also handles all customer support and returns for these orders.

* Heavier items may exceed 2 days for delivery due to ground transportation.

How does it work?

  1. Create a Marketplace seller account in Seller Center. If you’re already a Marketplace seller, you’ll just need to add your contact details, billing information and returns preferences in the WFS section of Seller Center.

  2. Add or convert your items to Walmart-fulfilled listings. WFS requires a few extra details about your items in order to store and ship them.

  3. Create and submit an inbound order. This is a list of the items and amounts you want to send to our fulfillment centers. As you create this, we’ll tell you where to ship your inventory (Pro tip: Save money here with Inventory Transfer Service and the Walmart Preferred Carrier Program).

  4. Send inventory to your assigned Walmart fulfillment centers. You can track the status of these shipments in Seller Center so you’ll know exactly when your items are received and available to Walmart.com customers. Once your shipment arrives, the receiving process typically takes 2 business days*.

  5. Grow your business. We’ve got storage, packaging, delivery, customer support and returns covered, but you’re the boss! Use our robust suite of reporting tools to decide where you want to drive your growth.

* Items that require unplanned prep work (e.g., incorrect labels, missing inbound order), or that arrive during sales events, holidays, peak months (October 1–December 31) or other circumstances may take up to 10 business days to process.

Program fee structure

WFS rates average 15% less*, on average, than most competitors, with no signup or monthly subscription fees. Our simple and straightforward rate card includes:

  • Fixed monthly storage fee based on item dimensions and weight

  • Fulfillment price based on item dimensions and weight

Apparel, hazardous materials, oversized items and items with low retail prices will incur add-on fees, and you may see a higher storage fee for slow-moving inventory during peak season. Visit WFS fees to see how fees apply to you, or try out our Cost Estimator to calculate the actual fees you’d pay to have an item stored and fulfilled by WFS.

*Fulfillment cost per item, on average. Walmart first-party data, orders fulfilled 2/1/24-12/31/24.

Product requirements

Some items can’t be fulfilled by WFS:

  • Temperature-regulated products

  • Maximum packaged product weight exceeding 500 lb, including packaging.
