Overview

The Pricing Insights dashboard in Seller Center provides important account-level pricing metrics and SKU-level insights to help you identify opportunities, update pricing and enroll items in Repricer. In this guide, you’ll learn how to use the Pricing Insights dashboard effectively.

How does it work?

The Pricing Insights dashboard features two tabs at the top. The first is the Items Insights tab that provides key account-level metrics and detailed information at the item level. The second is the Historical Price Performance tab that displays your price competitiveness score and Buy Box win rate over time.

The key metrics of the Item Insights tab are summarized below:

  • Price competitiveness: This measures how your price compares to similar products in the market. The higher the value, the more competitive your price is. It’s calculated by comparing the Buy Box winning offer against the competitive external price. Items that receive higher page views have a higher impact on your score compared to items with lower page views. Items with no page views won’t have any impact on your score.

  • Buy Box win rate: This measures the overall percentage of page views where your offers are winning the Buy Box. For example, a 60% Buy Box win rate would indicate that you’re the Buy Box winner for 60% of all page views that your items received over the last 7 days.

  • Repricer opportunities: This shows the number of items in Repricer strategies that need your attention as repricing has been paused and require seller input/action.

  • Incentives eligible: This shows the number of items that are eligible for Walmart-funded and Reduced Referral Fee incentives which can be used to reduce prices.

  • Pricing rules violation: This shows the number of items that are either suppressed or unpublished as they violate pricing rules and standards.

Once you’ve identified areas for pricing improvement, use the tabs on the dashboard’s item-level table to address specific items with low price competitive scores or Buy Box win rates. You can also directly enroll items in pricing tools such as Repricer or take action on items that violate pricing rules. The item-level Pricing Insights fields are defined below:

Field

Definition

Buy Box eligible

Indicates if the offer is eligible for the Buy Box. Review Pricing rules for more details.

Buy Box price

The item price of the winning Buy Box listing for an item when the report was generated. An alert icon indicates that your offer isn’t winning the Buy Box. Check to see if the price on your offer is lower than the Buy Box price.

Buy Box win rate

A measure of the overall percentage of page views where your offer is winning the Buy Box.

Comparison price

The reference price that determines pricing discounts or promotion on Walmart.com. It’s defined by an item’s Was Price or List Price.  For more details, visit Comparison price rules.

Competitive price

The price of the item on another e-commerce site. If no comparable item is found or there's a mismatch, select Submit a Match and follow the next steps.  An alert icon indicates that your price is higher than the competitive price.

Current price

The price you're currently charging for this item. Update prices in this field by selecting the item and entering a new price in the popup, or by selecting the Bulk update button at the top and uploading a template.

Est commission

The estimated commission that will be charged on this item.

Original selling price

The price you've set for this item before any promotions or programs.

Price competitiveness score

This indicates how competitive your price has been with external competitors over the last seven days. The higher the value, the higher the price competitiveness. For more details on updating your prices to match external pricing, visit How to update price: Overview.

Repricer status

The last recorded status for items assigned to a Repricer strategy.

  • Active indicates that the item is being actively repriced.

  • Needs Action indicates that while the item has been onboarded to the Repricer, it’s not being repriced due to the target price being lower than your minimum allowed price, a competitive target price wasn’t found on your item or because your item is on promotion, and you've elected to not reprice your items.

  • Paused indicates that the item is onboarded on a strategy that has been paused.

  • Enroll in Repricer indicates items that are not yet onboarded to the Repricer.  Select this to enroll items and create or select a strategy.

Repricer strategy

The assigned pricing strategy that will adjust the price of the item within the parameters you’ve set. Visit this guide for more information on Repricer strategy.

Repricer min price

The lowest price you're willing to sell your item for. Your pricing strategy will never go below this amount.

Repricer max price

The highest price you're willing to sell your item for. Your pricing strategy will never go above this amount.

Notes

Any price adjustments made here will only update if there are no promotions, pricing incentives or repricing strategies in place.
