Updated component calculations that may impact your Listing Quality score
We’ve updated the calculations of two components of your Listing Quality score:
- The content quality score now measures fewer attributes to accurately reflect what influences customer trust and item performance.Â
- The price competitiveness score now calculates your item’s original price, set by you, without Walmart-funded incentives.
As a result of these changes, your overall Listing Quality score, content quality score and price competitiveness score may be impacted. These updates aim to give you a more accurate understanding of your listing’s overall health. To help improve your Listing Quality score, visit the Listing Quality dashboard, Pricing Insights dashboard or Success Hub in Seller Center and take the suggested actions.

Refund Rate retiring on April 14
Starting April 14, 2026, the Refund Rate will be retired from the Seller Performance Standards and will no longer impact your performance evaluations. It will be replaced by two newly introduced metrics: Item Not Received Rate and Return Rate, which are now part of the Seller Performance Standards.

Action required: Migrate from Refunds API
To prepare for the upcoming removal of the Refund Rate as a Seller Performance Standard, we strongly suggest updating your API endpoints. To ensure a smooth transition, you should remove the Refund Rate endpoints and make sure you’re using the following APIs:Â

Enforcement of new Seller Performance Standards begins in April
Effective April 2026, you’ll be responsible for upholding Walmart’s performance standards for the following metrics:
- Return Rate: The percentage of delivered items that are returned by customers.
- Item Not Received Rate: The percentage of orders reported by customers as not received.Â
- Negative Feedback Rate:Â The percentage of orders that result in negative customer feedback.
To ensure compliance with Walmart’s policies, it’s essential to monitor your performance metrics closely. If your performance falls below the established thresholds, you’ll receive notifications and should take immediate corrective action to address any issues.

Introducing a new tiered referral fee structure for collectibles in select categories
We’ve updated the referral fees for collectibles in the following categories: trading cards, trading card games, comics, coins, autographed collectibles and collectible ephemera. These categories now have a tiered referral rate of 8% for the portion of the total sales price up to $2,500, and 2.35% for the portion exceeding $2,500. For all other collectible categories, the referral fee remains at 8%.

Automated Shipping Templates are retiring
Effective March 9, 2026, Automated Shipping Templates will no longer be supported. Any SKUs shipped using Automated Shipping Templates will automatically transition to the Default Shipping Template settings. However, we recommend using Simplified Shipping Settings as your primary method for seller-fulfilled shipping to unlock more accurate shipping estimates.

Enhanced API Buy Box notifications to help you price competitively
The Buy Box API webhook now provides price change notifications for the top five offers ranked by landed price on your items – not just when the Buy Box offer changes. With a better understanding of item price movements, lower latency when receiving alerts and new payload attributes, you have a more complete view of active competitor pricing to optimize your strategy. This update is backward compatible with existing integrations.

You can now offer customers free product samples to solicit their honest, unbiased feedback through our Recognized Reviewer program. This Review Accelerator solution is designed to help you increase the number of reviews on your listings and build trust and credibility with customers.

Starting March 27, 2026, we’re updating our price competitiveness score calculation to include only those prices set by you.  Prices supported by Walmart-funded incentives will no longer be included in this calculation. As a result, you may notice a change in your overall score.
