Applications to sell Pre-Owned products are now open to all sellers

Starting December 15, 2025, all Marketplace sellers will have the opportunity to apply for participation in the Pre-Owned program through the Exclusive programs page in Seller Center. While the Resold program remains invite-only, selling Pre-Owned items provides you with the chance to tap into the growing resale market and expand your assortment.

Update to image guidelines

We’ve updated our image guidelines to ensure the use of accurate, high quality product images that genuinely represent an item being sold on Walmart Marketplace. The use of stock photos and imagery that indicates a product is out of stock or sold out is prohibited and may result in products being unpublished.

Important Listing Quality updates

We are making updates to the Listing Quality dashboard soon:

  • Updated scoring system: Your Listing Quality score will consider our updated Shipping score. This will ensure your listings are scored based on how many customers you can offer fast and free delivery to across the country. This change may affect your Listing Quality score.
  • LocalFinds enhancements: The Published and In Stock score will better reflect true local transactability, ensuring that listings are surfaced more accurately based on regional availability and demand.
  • Quick access to optimization opportunities: The Listing Quality dashboard will help you quickly identify actions you can take to help optimize your listings.

New warranty policy: Update your listings to comply

Items on Walmart Marketplace that come with a manufacturer’s warranty must either include the warranty in the offer or have it listed separately with a clear disclosure. Review the new policy and ensure that your listings include the necessary information. Noncompliance may result in consequences including unpublishing listings, temporary suspension, return of WFS inventory at the seller’s cost or termination of your account.

Success Hub now offers downloadable reports for Match external price, Seller-fulfilled inventory and Match Buy Box suggestions, making it easier to act on insights. Plus, Seller-fulfilled inventory suggestions can now predict whether you'll run out of an item up to 8 weeks ahead, helping you prevent inventory shortages.

New carrier service eligibility requirements for Ship with Walmart orders

Ship with Walmart is updating its carrier services eligibility based on the ability to meet your delivery promise to customers. Carrier service eligibility will now be based on your Expected Ship Date (ESD) and Expected Delivery Date (EDD). Carrier service options are influenced by factors such as lag time, operating schedule, inventory location and Walmart optimized promise dates. When enrolled in Simplified Shipping Settings, your recommended carrier service will appear at the top of the label options.
