Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS)
Walmart Seller app
If you created or converted multiple WFS items, you may encounter errors. Here are solutions to the most common issues.
Feed status errors
After submitting a spec sheet, track your item setup status in the Activity Feed page. You can filter by feed type or fulfillment type to find a specific submission. If there are any errors blocking item setup, download the report in the Errors column. The report highlights rows with errors and describes the reasons. Correct the errors in the report and reupload it in the same place you downloaded the spec sheet. Then track your new submission in the Activity Feed to make sure the errors have been fixed. Make sure the corrected error report is the same file type as the downloaded file.
Common error messages
Error Message | Next Steps |
---|---|
Attribute requires a value | Add missing details to the highlighted fields, or select the an option from the drop-down list. |
Hazmat assessment is required | We’ve identified your item as a potential hazardous material and will review it within 72 business hours. After that period, check the status by going to the Items on Hold page. You can then correct any items with an Action Needed status. If your item has been in review for more than 72 business hours, contact Seller Support. For more details on what items are considered hazmat, see Hazardous Materials Overview. |
Package dimension information is incorrect | Add measurements for your package or double-check they’re correct. You must have at least one set of trade item dimensions (each/inner pack/case/pallet) for your product. |
PackConfig does not match sellableGtin | The sellable GTIN must be the same as the each GTIN. Go to the trade item configurations tab to make changes. |
Invalid check-digit in product ID | Your GTIN must be 14 digits. If it’s not, add zeros to the beginning. Make sure the GTIN doesn’t begin with something other than zero. |
The Product ID is already set up with the SKU [XYZ] | Remove any special characters or spaces in the Product ID field. This may also happen if the item already exists in Walmart’s catalog but is associated with a different Product ID. Make sure the Product ID in the spec matches your seller-fulfilled item. |
Multiple items have the same values for their variant attributes | Another item has the same Product ID as your item but has a different description. Add another variant attribute to set your item apart. |
It looks like a glitch. | Something went wrong in our system. Try uploading your items again. If the issue persists, contact contact Seller Support. |
If you’ve waited 48 hours and your items still aren’t published, there may have been a system error. Try uploading the spec sheet again. If the problem persists, create a case under the Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) category with Support and include this information:
- Feed ID
- Impacted SKUs or Product IDs
- Full Item Spec Sheet
Formatting issues
If your items still aren’t going through, check for these formatting errors in your spec sheet. They may cause our system to read the file incorrectly.
- Some cells in the spec contain drop-down lists. Make sure to choose from the list. Do not paste or type into these cells, as this may cause an error in the formatting.
- If you need to copy data from another source, only paste the values and not the formatting. You can do this by right-clicking to open Paste Special and selecting Values.
- Avoid special characters, like the slash in "N/A." You can simply skip the field if it's not required.
- Make sure both the category and trade item configuration tabs are filled in. The information must be in the same order in both tabs of the sheet.
