A virtual pack is a way to offer multiple variations of the same product, such as a shirt in 10 colors and six sizes. Virtual packs allow you to offer more options without creating multiple listings for the same item. In this guide, you'll learn how to create a virtual pack in Seller Center.
Participation in virtual packs is by invitation-only and not available to all Marketplace sellers.
Create a virtual pack
Step 1 — Get started
Navigate to your Catalog in Seller Center and select the Add items button. Select the Upload in bulk link under Add thousands of items using a spreadsheet. On the next page, select the Build virtual packs button.Â

A virtual pack for an eligible item must represent at least a 5% discount to the seller’s single item price. If you’ve enrolled the single item in the Walmart Repricer, then Repricer-based changes to the single item price will be applied proportionally to the item’s virtual pack price.
Step 2 — Complete the template
Fill in the template with as much information as possible. Three columns are required. If you don’t include the information requested in these columns, you’ll get errors in your Activity Feed:Â
Component GTIN: Identifying information for the individual item you’ll be including in your pack.Â
Virtual Pack Quantity: The number of items you want to include in the pack.Â
Initial Discount Rate: The initial discount you want applied to the total value of the pack. This must be equal to or greater than 5%. You don’t need to use percentage signs. Instead, use numerals—e.g., "5" instead of "5%".Â
Additionally, it’s recommended that you include a Main Image URL for the pack and Key Features that will appear as bulleted text on the item page and in search results. If you don’t provide Key Features information for the pack, the page will be populated with the information from the single item description.Â
Adding a Site Start Date and Site End Date is optional. If you don’t include a start or end date for the Virtual Pack, Marketplace will default to the start and end date of the individual item.Â
Step 3 — Upload the template
To upload your completed template, navigate to your Catalog in Seller Center and select Add items. Select the Upload in bulk link located under Add thousands of items using a spreadsheet. You can drag and drop your file onto the browser window under Upload, or select the browse link to locate the file on your computer. If you need to edit the discount rate or other aspects of the virtual pack in the future, follow the same steps outlined above.
It can take up to four hours for newly created items to appear in your Activity Feed.Â
