This guide shows you how to add a new item to your catalog by searching current items listed on Walmart.com. If you’re adding a new item to your catalog that’s not currently offered by Walmart.com, check out Add a new item: Create tool for instructions.
Add an item from the Walmart catalog
Step 1 — Get started
In Seller Center, navigate to your Catalog and select the Add Items button.
Step 2 — Add the items
On the next page, insert the item name or product identifier (GTIN, UPC, EAN, ISBN or Item ID) under the Search the Walmart Catalog heading, then select the search icon. Search results will appear. If there’s more than one, review the product on Walmart.com so you know you're choosing an exact match.
To view additional item details, including brand, category and product identifiers, select More info or View on Walmart.com. Select the Add item button if the product is a match.
If the item is part of a variant group, you’ll see the variant attributes listed. Be sure to review the attributes to find a match for your item. You can’t edit existing item details in this tool. If your variant is not part of an existing listing, check out Create a New Item in Seller Center to add it.
Step 3 — Add offer details
Next, add Offer Details, including SKU, Selling Price, Fulfillment Type and Shipping Weight, and Condition. If you switch the fulfillment type from seller-fulfilled to Walmart-fulfilled, you’ll need to enter additional fields for compliance and trade item hierarchy.
Step 4 — Submit
Once you’ve completed all required fields, select the Submit button at the bottom of the page to finish adding the item to your catalog. You can also select the Save draft button to complete setup at another time. Once your submission is complete, a confirmation will appear with the option to copy the Feed ID. You can use this to view the item setup progress in the Activity feed dashboard.
You don’t need to fill out any other product information that’s already in Walmart’s unified catalog such as the images, brand information, etc.
