Failure to accurately report information may lead to item removal, account suspension or termination.
Full setup
Step 1 — Get started
Navigate to your Catalog in Seller Center and select the Add items button. Select the Upload in bulk link located under Add thousands of items using a spreadsheet. On the next page, select the Create new items button.
Step 2 — Choose product categories, product types and fulfillment methods
Select the product categories that best fit the items you want to add and choose Next. Then, choose up to 10 product types. Once you’ve chosen your product types, choose Next. If you aren't sure which categorization to choose, review our content standards.
Finally, choose your preferred fulfillment option. When you’re ready, select the Download button in the bottom right corner of the page. If you chose both fulfillment method options, two templates will download.

Step 3 — Add item details and attributes
When you open the template, the attributes will dynamically populate based on your selection and certain attributes will be grayed out if they aren't relevant to an item’s product type. The bulleted list below represents a few of the required sections of the template that you must fill out to successfully set up your items.
Complete the Spec Product Type column before filling out the rest of the template otherwise you won’t be able to fill out other required sections or see the attributes closed list values.
- SKU: This first column is required to successfully set up your items.
Spec Product Type: This column determines the product type attribute options you can choose from in the template.
Required to sell on Walmart.com: If any of these fields are missing, you’ll receive data errors. If you’ve chosen the Walmart-Fulfilled option, this section is called Required for Walmart Fulfillment Services.
Required for the item to be visible on Walmart.com: Fill out this section to ensure your item is visible on Walmart Marketplace.
Conditionally Required based on Product Type: This only appears if you have two or more product types selected when downloading the spreadsheet.
Recommended to improve search and browse on Walmart.com: The more information you provide here, the better your chances of helping customers find your item on Walmart.com.
Recommended to create a variant experience on Walmart website: Fill out this section if your products have variants.
You can add additional columns for cells marked with a plus sign “+.” To do this, select the entire column of an existing column with your cursor then right-click and choose Copy. Then select the columns to the right of the one you copied then right-click and choose Insert copied cells.

Step 4 — Upload the template
To upload your completed template, navigate to your Catalog in Seller Center and select Add items. Select the Upload in bulk link located under Add thousands of items using a spreadsheet. You can drag and drop your file onto the browser window under Upload, or select the browse link to locate the file on your computer.
Updates can appear in as quickly as 15 minutes or can take up to four hours.
Failing to provide required attributes, conditionally required information, modifying the data in the first six rows of your template, or changing tab names will lead to data errors.
