Generate an item report

Overview

You can use the Item Report in Seller Center to stay updated on product details and current and competitor prices. You can also find out if an item has been unpublished or made ineligible for the Buy Box, and much more. This guide shows you how to generate an Item Report and lists the metrics included in the report.

Generate an item report

Step 1 — Get started

Navigate to your Catalog in Seller Center and select the Download View  button. In the pop-up window, select go to the Reports page. This opens the Reports dashboard.

Step 2 — Download the report

Navigate to the On Request Reports section and select Item Report  under Report Type. Then, complete the additional sections. You can filter your report data by published status and fulfillment type, and select the start and end dates.

When you’re done, select Request report. You can check the progress of your report in the Report activity section.

Item-level metrics

The Item Report gives you an in-depth view of item-level metrics, including:

  • Partner ID: An identifier Walmart uses internally for Marketplace sellers, often to assist Solution Providers.

  • SKU: The SKU you provided for this item.

  • Product Name: The name you've provided for your item.

  • Product Category: The group that your item belongs to. We determine this based on the category you used when uploading your items.

  • Price: The price you're currently charging for this item.

  • Currency: The total item sales this year for that particular SKU for the selected date range. 

  • Buy Box Item Price: The item price of the winning Buy Box listing for this item at the time the report was generated.

  • Buy Box Shipping Price: The shipping price of the winning Buy Box listing for this item at the time the report was generated.

  • Buy Box Eligible: Indicates if the offer is eligible for the Buy Box. Review Pricing rules for more details.

  • Publish Status: Indicates whether the item is Published or Unpublished on Walmart.com.

  • Status Change: The reason why your status has changed from Published to Unpublished. 

  • Lifecycle Status: Indicates whether your item is Retired or Active.

  • Ship Method: A list of all the shipping methods you offer for this item.

  • WPID: The Walmart Product ID is used internally to track items.

  • Item ID: An ID used internally to track items. This ID can be found at the end of the Item Page URL for that item. 

  • GTIN: The Global Trade Item Number associated with this item.

  • UPC: The Universal Product Code associated with this item.

  • Primary Image URL: The URL for the item's Main Image.

  • Shelf Name: The final shelf where your item lives on Walmart.com.

  • Primary Cat Path: The navigation path a customer would follow to find your item on Walmart.com by browsing, which ends in the shelf name.

  • Offer Start: The date when this item became available to sell on Walmart.com. 

  • Offer End: The date the Marketplace seller would like the item removed from the site.

  • Item Creation Date: The date you created this item.

  • Item Last Updated: The date you most recently updated your item's content.

  • Item Page URL: A link to the page on Walmart.com for your item.

  • Reviews Count: The number of reviews this item has on Walmart.com.

  • Average Rating: The average rating this item has received on Walmart.com

  • Searchable: Whether customers can find your item on Walmart.com using the Search Bar.

  • Variant Group: A group of individual items that only differ by a few attributes.
  • Primary Variant: The main product in a group of related items that share similar attributes, such as size, color or style.
  • Variant Grouping Attributes: Specific attributes used to group related products together as variations of a single item. These attributes help customers easily compare and select the desired variation, such as size, color or style, within a product listing.
  • Variant Grouping Values: Shared attributes that link related products together in a variant group.
  • Competitor URL: The link to the item on a competitor website (e.g., Amazon, Target, Best Buy, Kohl’s, etc.) used for price comparison. (Note: You can use this information to ensure your items are reasonably priced.)

  • Competitor Price: This is the competitor’s price for the item.

  • Competitor Ship Price: The cost of shipping on the competitor’s site.

  • Competitor Last Date Fetched: The timestamp for the last download of the competitor price.

  • Brand: The manufacturer's brand name for this item (e.g., Nike, Sony, Dyson, Black & Decker, etc.

  • Product Tax Code: This is a seven-digit product tax code that identifies the amount of sales tax that should be collected for individual items.

  • MSRP: Manufacturer’s suggested retail price or List Price. This is the price of the item as recommended by the manufacturer. It may not be the prevailing market price for the item.

  • Shipping Weight: The weight of the item when packaged to ship.

  • Shipping Weight Unit: The unit of measurement (lb, oz, etc.) used to describe the weight of the product when packaged to ship.

  • Fulfillment Lag Time: The number of operational days it takes for you to ship an order after it’s been placed by a customer.
  • Fulfillment Type: Specifies the fulfillment method for the SKU. Possible values include WFS Eligible, Walmart Fulfilled, or Seller Fulfilled. WFS Eligible means the item has been converted to WFS program, but the Marketplace seller still fulfills them directly.

  • WFS Sales Restriction: Limitation on certain products that can’t be sold through Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS).
  • Repricer Strategy: The strategy name that you have assigned to the item if any.

  • Minimum Seller Allowed Price: The lowest price at which you are willing to sell your item.

  • Maximum Seller Allowed Price: The highest price at which you are willing to sell your item.

  • Repricer Status: The last recorded status for items assigned to a Repricer strategy.
