Overview

When updating your auto fitment information on Walmart Marketplace, you may come across an error. In this guide, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot and correct these errors.

General errors

1. I can’t see fitment capabilities in Seller Center.

What should I do?

If you don’t see these capabilities in Seller Center or can’t access the fitment developer portal API’s, select the Help button in the Seller Center menu bar to contact Support to request access to fitment capabilities.

2. I can't find fitment attribute information about my products.

What should I do?

Refer to the column descriptions as well as where you can find fitment attribute information below:

  • Brand AAIA: A 4-letter code mapped to a brand name provided by the Auto Care Association. Visit the Auto Care Association’s website to find your product’s Brand code.

  • Manufacturing Part Number: A unique identifier set by the product's manufacturer or brand owner.

  • Part Terminology ID: Primary key and identifier of each record. Visit the Auto Care Association’s website to find your product’s Part Terminology ID.

3. I can't upload my files.

What should I do?

For successful upload of your item template, it must have the exact format and title as it did when it was downloaded. Confirm that your file meets these guidelines and try again.

Fitment attribute errors

1. Some of my attribute updates aren’t showing after I uploaded my file.

What should I do?

You may not always be able to define which content will be displayed on a product page if there are multiple sellers providing content for the same item. Walmart will determine the best available content for items unless it is provided by a brand owner or authorized reseller.

2. I’ve updated my fitment attributes and provided an ACES record for my items but the fitment widget is not showing up on the item page.

What should I do?

The fitment widget may not appear on your product page because the product isn’t categorized correctly under the automotive category. If you find the fitment widget is not populating for your item after you’ve followed guidelines, select the Help button in the Seller Center menu bar to contact Support.

ACES coverage errors

1. I updated my fitment attributes and provided ACES records for my items but items still appear on the Fitment ACES Coverage Report.

What should I do?

It’s likely that one or more of the attributes tagged to your items doesn’t match the ACES record on file. (e.g., The Manufacturer Part Number attribute tagged to the item doesn’t match the Manufacturer Part Number in the ACES file (“Part” in ACES file).

The Part Terminology ID, AAIA Brand ID and Manufacturer Part number tagged to the item must match the ACES file exactly for fitment to be enabled. Including spaces, hyphens, underscores, etc. Check these entries and try again. If still experiencing issues, select the Help button in the Seller Center menu bar to contact Support.

File errors

1. My feed status is listed as: error.

What should I do?

This means that your file has been rejected due to file validation or an issue with unzipping, formatting, etc. Double check your file and format, then try uploading the file again.

2. My ACES file was rejected.

What should I do?

ACES file records may be rejected due to missing Part Type ID, base vehicle ID or part number, or due to invalid vehicle information (ID, year, make, model, sub-model or engine base). Check these fields and try again.

3. My PIES file was rejected.

What should I do?

PIES file records may be rejected due to missing item level GTIN, brand AAIA ID, part number or part terminology ID. Check these fields and try again.
