Overview

The Walmart Marketplace Seller Forum is a valuable space for sellers to exchange insights, ask questions and collaborate anonymously. This guide outlines the key policies you must follow to ensure the forum remains a productive and respectful environment for all participants.

Participation in the Seller Forum is by invitation only and not available to all Marketplace sellers.

What is the policy?

Below are the specific guidelines you must follow when using the forum. While your username is anonymous, Walmart can still view account information. Walmart retains full ownership rights over your posts and can determine how they are distributed.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in Walmart taking appropriate action, including modifying or removing your posts, restricting your posting privileges, or revoking your access to the forum. Repeated violations may lead to limited access for up to 30 days. Continued misconduct may result in permanent suspension of your posting privileges.

To ensure consistency and clarity for all members, community discussions are conducted in English.

Your posts must adhere to the Seller Code of Conduct and the privacy policy. You must be respectful.	You may not create posts that could be considered illegal activity including infringement of intellectual property rights, trademarks or patents. You may not create posts that contain threats, obscenities, profanity, hateful commentary, discriminatory remarks, harassment, bullying or defamatory content. You may not promote services, fundraisers, surveys or social media accounts. You may not share details from private conversations you’ve had with Walmart associates. You may not share or request personal information such as account information, contact information, financial information or IP addresses. You may not share pricing, costs, margins or any other competitively sensitive information. You may not use the forum to coordinate business activities. You may not use the forum to engage in off-topic conversations, particularly those involving personal, political or religious views.

If you come across a post or response that violates Walmart’s policy, you can flag it by selecting Report, then choosing a reason.

When using the forum to answer questions and post content, it’s important to uphold the integrity of the Walmart Marketplace community. To ensure you do so:

Check the discussion dates: Check published dates for relevance, as updates and enhancements may affect the accuracy and applicability of the information.
Be helpful and collaborative: Share your experiences, insights and solutions.
Search before posting: Before creating a new thread, search the forum to see if your question has already been answered or if a relevant discussion already exists to prevent duplicate posts.
Keep posts focused: Summarize your question or comment instead of sharing external links and avoid posting the same message more than once.
Give it two business days: If a question from an original post goes unanswered for two business days, Walmart Moderators will step in to acknowledge, redirect or answer the question.
