Form 1099-KÂ is a report that includes a summary of the payments you received from Walmart Marketplace orders in the calendar year that just ended. Certain Marketplace sellers who meet the qualifications will need to file a Form 1099-K with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Keep reading to find out if you qualify and how to retrieve your form.
Qualifying criteria
You’ll receive a Form 1099-K if you meet the following conditions in the calendar year that just ended:Â
- You’re registered with Walmart Marketplace as a W-9 entityÂ
- You shipped more than 200 orders and your gross sales amount was more than $20,000. Filing requirements for some states might differ from federal requirements.Â
- Your tax profile information has been provided in Seller Center.  Â
What should I do?Â
If you meet the criteria, you’ll receive an email from your payment processor with instructions on how to access your Form 1099-K. You can view a sample of Form 1099-K here. This link displays the form with multiple versions of the 1099-K – copy-A goes to the IRS, copy-B goes to the state, and you’ll receive copy-C. Â
I did not receive a Form 1099-K.
Not all sellers meet the minimum requirements for this form. Â
What should I do?Â
Review the qualifying criteria above. If you don’t meet the criteria, you must self-report your sales figures directly to the IRS. Form 1099-K filings only report sales and do not include any adjustments for credits, cash equivalents, discount amounts, fees or refunded amounts.  If you meet the criteria and haven’t received your Form 1099-K from your payment processor, select the Help button in the Seller Center menu bar to contact Support.

I need to update my EIN.
While you can change your Employer Identification Number (EIN) at any time, the Tax ID used on your Form 1099-K must be updated prior to or during the year that corresponds with the sales being reported. For example, the Tax ID on your Form 1099-K for 2023 sales must be updated prior to or in 2023. We don’t accept Tax ID updates that are submitted in 2024 for a Form 1099-K filing reporting 2023 sales.Â
What should I do?Â
If you need to change your Tax ID, you can do so in Seller Center. For more information on how to do this, visit Update tax information in Seller Center.  Â
