Walmart may place holds on the setup and sale of items that don’t meet the Prohibited Products Policy. This guide shows you how to use the Items on Hold dashboard in Seller Center to review items that have been put on hold.
Troubleshoot items on hold
In review
If an item is listed as In Review, it means our Trust and Safety team is reviewing the item and it will be approved or listed as Restricted upon completion.
What should I do?
Once approved, the item moves from the Items On Hold dashboard and completes the item setup process. It then appears in your Catalog dashboard.
Restricted
If an item is listed as Restricted, it means the Trust and Safety team has determined that it doesn’t comply with our standards and cannot be set up on Walmart Marketplace. In some cases, you may have the option to appeal the decision.
What should I do?
Select the Appeal button and follow the steps to submit your appeal. If your item has been restricted and you’re unable to appeal or the appeal is denied, familiarize yourself with the Prohibited Products Policy to avoid the same issue in the future. If you believe the item should not be restricted, you have the option to select the Help button in the Seller Center menu bar to contact Support.
