Overview

Walmart may place a hold on the setup and sale of items that don’t meet the Prohibited Products Policy. In this guide, you’ll learn how to use the Pending Review dashboard in Seller Center to review items that have been put on hold.

Troubleshoot items pending review

The Pending Review dashboard is organized into three tabs, each representing a category of reasons why your item is on hold: WFS Compliance, Trust and Safety, and Potential Duplicates.

WFS Compliance

Items that are fulfilled by Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) have different requirements than seller-fulfilled. If your WFS item contains a chemical, aerosol or battery, it may be put on hold for a compliance review for up to three business days.

What should I do?
Learn more about the review process of hazardous materials here.

Trust and Safety

Restricted

If an item is listed as Restricted, Walmart has determined that it doesn’t comply with our standards and can’t be set up on Walmart Marketplace.

What should I do?
If you’re eligible to appeal the decision, select the Appeal  button and follow the steps to submit your appeal.

If your item has been restricted and you’re unable to appeal or the appeal is denied, learn more about the Prohibited Products Policy to help prevent future issues. If you believe the item should not be restricted, select the Help button in the Seller Center menu bar to contact Support.

In Review

If an item is listed as In Review, Walmart is reviewing the item, or the item is getting a hazardous materials assessment. It will be approved or listed as Restricted upon completion.

What should I do?
Once approved, the item moves from the Pending Reviewdashboard and completes the item setup process. Check for the item to appear in your Catalog

Potential duplicates

If a Marketplace item is offered by multiple sellers and shares the same product identifier (or product ID), it may be listed here as a potential duplicate.

What should I do?

Review your items for potential duplicates to ensure no items are unpublished.
