Walmart Marketplace uses industry standard files to help Walmart.com customers find automotive parts that specifically fit their vehicles. In this guide, you’ll learn how auto fitment works on Walmart Marketplace, including our guidelines and requirements and how to get started.
How does it work?Â
The auto parts fitment widget on Walmart.com helps customers view automotive product results that are relevant to their specific vehicle, saving them time and leading to a better shopping experience.Â
To help ensure your listings appear when shoppers use the widget, each of your automotive products must have the required fitment attributes tagged and an Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard (ACES) or Product Information Exchange Standard (PIES) ACES record on file. Â
If you don’t have ACES and PIES files and need support to create them, contact one of our third-party service providers below for assistance.

Additional guidelinesÂ
Once you have your ACES or PIES files, you’ll need to gather the following required fitment attributes to successfully tag your parts:Â
Brand AAIA: A four-letter code mapped to a brand name provided by the Auto Care Association. Visit the Auto Care Association’s website to find your product’s Brand code.  Â
Manufacturing Part Number: A unique identifier set by the product's manufacturer or brand owner.  Â
Part Terminology ID: This is the primary key and identifier of each record. Visit the Auto Care Association’s website to find your product’s Part Terminology ID.    Â
The values tagged for these fitment attributes must match the corresponding values in the ACES XML or ACES excel file exactly.  Once you have the required information listed above, follow these instructions to submit your attributes and ACES coverage.Â
As a reminder and consistent with your commitment under the Marketplace Retailer Agreement, by utilizing the Auto Parts Fitment Widget, you're affirming that all information you are providing is accurate, complies with the law and that you have the right to provide the information.
