Product requirements
Before you decide which items to fulfill with Walmart, make sure your items meet these criteria:
Maximum product weight is 500 lb.
Maximum product dimensions of 120" x 105" x 93", including packaging.
Items must ship to Walmart fulfillment centers from within the US or clear customs through the seller before arriving at Walmart fulfillment centers.
Items must be acceptable in the WFS program. See WFS Prohibited Products and Marketplace Prohibited Products Policy for details.
No temperature-regulated products.
Which items sell well?
Here are our recommendations to help ensure the best impact from WFS on your sales.
Use WFS for your current best-selling items with high sale-through rates already on Walmart Marketplace.
Use WFS for items in your assortment that sell well on other marketplaces.
Bring new brands not previously sold on Walmart.com.
Take WFS fees into account when deciding which items are most likely to sell well.
WFS orders over $35 qualify for free shipping, so consider prioritizing items over $15 or bundling lower-cost items.
How much inventory?
When you first start, we recommend setting up at least 20 items from your catalog and sending 20–50 units of inventory per item. If you know the item sells well, we recommend you send in 4 weeks of inventory.
Consider setting up a large part of your assortment up front. You’ll only be charged for items once inventory is in a fulfillment center. This will help you to grow your business fast.
Making inventory available with fast, reliable delivery can help increase traffic to your items. Be prepared to quickly replenish inventory to meet customer demand and avoid out-of-stock item pages.
APIs and solution partners
