If you need to quickly update an item’s content such as an item’s product name, site description and images, you can do so right from your Catalog in Seller Center. In this guide, we’ll show you how to update content for up to 25 items at once.
If you need to update content for more than 25 items at once, use a Walmart spreadsheet.
Update a single item
Step 1 – Get started
Navigate to your Catalog in Seller Center and select the checkbox next to up to 25 items you want to update at the same time. You can choose to update the item’s details on your own or choose to use Walmart’s GenAI suggestions.

Step 2 – Edit item details or enhance with GenAI
- Edit item details: To update seller-fulfilled items manually select the Edit items button. For Walmart-fulfilled items, updates must be completed using a spreadsheet. If you're updating multiple items simultaneously, the default view may not display all attributes. To access additional attributes, choose the Columns button to reveal any hidden options.
- Enhance with GenAI: To use Walmart’s GenAI suggestions, select the Enhance with GenAI button. You’ll only receive suggestions for content that you’re eligible to update. The content quality improvements show how much your content quality score will improve based on Walmart’s GenAI suggestions.
To ensure a high-quality shopping experience, Walmart selects the best content for each item attribute, giving priority to content provided directly by brand owners and their authorized resellers. Because brand owners and authorized resellers have priority, there are times when you won’t be able to decide what content is published on Walmart.com. This means that if you don’t have brand owner privileges, you won’t be able to update some content fields, including blank fields. Step 3 – SubmitÂ
Once you’ve reviewed the content suggestions and completed all required fields, choose Submit. You can track your items’ status from the Activity feed in Seller Center. Updates may take up to 24 hours. Any data errors that are detected during the updates will require extra processing time.Â
