Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS)
Products subject to our policy on Children’s Products must also adhere to other Prohibited Products Policies including our policy on Baby Products, Toys and Recalled Products or Walmart will automatically unpublish your item.
What is the policy?
Children’s products sold on Walmart’s Marketplace must comply with all federal, state, and local laws. Children's products are generally defined as a consumer product designed or intended primarily for children 12 years of age or younger. Federal regulations require domestic manufacturers and importers of children’s products to certify in a written Children’s Product Certificate (CPC), based on test results from a third-party, CPSC-accepted laboratory, that their children’s products comply with applicable children’s product safety rules.
To sell children's products on Walmart’s Marketplace, sellers are required to provide copies of a Children’s Product Certificate and corresponding third-party test report for each children’s product. When requested, CPCs and test reports must be uploaded for each covered item in Seller Center using the Children’s Product Certificate widget in the seller’s Account hub.
CPCs must be written in English, issued within the last year, and contain the required elements and information shown on the CPSC’s Children’s Product Certificate website. The types of children’s products that require third-party test reports and CPCs can be found on the CPSC’s Rules Requiring Third-Party Testing and a Children’s Product Certificate.
Third-party test reports must be written in English, issued within the last year, and show that the product complies with all applicable state and federal children’s product laws and rules.
