Troubleshooting
If you’re new to WFS, you can use a template called the Full Item Spec to add multiple items to your catalog at once. If you’d rather add items directly in Seller Center without using a spec sheet, see Create a single WFS item.
Download the item spec
1. Log into Seller Center and go to Items.
2. Go to the Manage Items dropdown and choose Add items.Â
3. Under Upload a spreadsheet, select Walmart template.

4. Select Walmart Fulfilled as the fulfillment type.
5. Select up to 7 item categories from the dropdown. These will become separate tabs in your template.Attributes will vary by category, so make sure you choose the correct category. If you aren’t sure which to use, see Item Categorization Guide for Item Spec 4.0.
**NOTE: For Fashion, the Season code is specific to reflect the 4 seasons in a year. If you aren’t sure which category to use, contact Seller Support.
Upload the completed spec
For best practices and tips on filling out the spec, see How to fill out the item spec sheet for WFS. After you've filled in the spec, upload it on the same page where you downloaded the file.
Make sure your item dimensions are accurate. We measure items during receiving, and mismatched dimensions may affect your WFS fees.
Pre-validation for your spec
Our system will check for errors — such as missing attributes, wrong data type, invalid check digit — within a few seconds. If there are any, the error spec will automatically download in your browser.Â

In the report, you’ll see the number of errors and descriptions in columns A and B. The cells that contain errors will also be highlighted in yellow. Correct the errors in the report and reupload it.Â

Track status
You can track your item setup status about one minute after you successfully submit the spec. In the side navigation, go to the Activity Feed page.
The Activity Feed shows the following:Â
- Feed ID:Â The reference ID for your spec, generated during upload Â
- Feed Type:Â You can filter items by the type of feed. To see the status of a conversion spec, go to the Feed Type dropdown and select WFS Item Setup.Â
- Date & Time:Â The date and time that the file was submitted and began processing
- Status: The status of the file. Processed means that items have been successfully set up. Error means that there’s inaccurate data, or the item is being held for a compliance review.
- Submitted:Â The number of items that were submitted in the spec
- Processed:Â The number of items that successfully processed
- Pending:Â The number of items that are still being processed
- Errors:Â Click the eye icon in this field to see what the errors are.Â
- Error Report:Â Click the download icon to get the error report.
If there are any errors in your spec, see Troubleshooting item feed errors for help.
