Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS)
Before you start shipping Walmart Marketplace orders, you’ll need to assign a shipping sales tax code to each shipping method you support. In this guide, we’ll show you how to assign the codes in Seller Center.
Walmart does not provide tax advice, including telling you which code to select for your items. Consult your tax advisor if you need more guidance on which tax code you should select.
How does it work?
Shipping sales tax codes help Walmart Marketplace collect the proper tax for you, so you can remit to the proper tax authorities. If you select the wrong code, customers may be charged a higher or lower tax rate.
It is your responsibility to correctly select shipping sales tax codes in Seller Center. If you are having difficulty doing so, you should consult your tax advisor.
Navigate to Settings in Seller Center and choose Taxes under the Partner Profile heading. Once you’ve updated shipping tax codes for your product, select Save Tax Codes.
