Reading time: 2 min
Overview

Products subject to our policy on Jewelry, Watches, Precious Gemstones, Currency, Coins and Precious Metals (Covered Goods) must also adhere to other Prohibited Products Policies including our policy on FinCEN covered goods or Walmart will automatically unpublish your item.

What is the policy?

Sellers listing jewelry, watches, precious gemstones, currency, coins and precious metals must be pre-approved by the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance team to sell on Walmart Marketplace. AML refers to a set of laws, rules and regulations passed by Congress to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. Specifically, Walmart requires that jewelry, gem, precious metal and precious stone dealers adhere to the regulations detailed in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Part 1027 – Rules for Dealers in Precious Metals, Precious Stones, or Jewels. This law requires certain jewelry, gem, precious metal and precious stone dealers to perform certain activities to ensure their products are not utilized in money laundering and/or terrorist financing.
