Products subject to our policy on Funeral Products must also adhere to other Prohibited Products Policies including our policy on Artifacts and Antiquities or Walmart will automatically unpublish your item. 

What is the policy? 

Walmart prohibits the sale of certain funeral-related products on its Marketplace.     

Policy basics 

Prohibited

Allowed with restriction

Allowed

  • Grave markers, headstones, and monuments. 

  • Human or animal remains. 

  • Used funeral items. 

  • Repurposed funeral items (i.e. Urns marketed as a cookie jar)   

  • Items obtained from government or protected land, grave sites, or historical locations.  

  • Stolen or looted funeral products.  

  • Sacred items used by Native Americans in ceremonial practices.  

  • Any marketplace seller who sells and delivers caskets and coffins must comply with state-specific laws. 
  • Urns and Cremation. 

  • Jewelry boxes (funeral keepsakes).
