Overview

Products subject to our policy on Alcohol must also adhere to other Prohibited Products Policies including our policy on Food Products or Walmart will automatically unpublish your item. 

What is the policy?

Walmart prohibits the sale of most alcoholic beverages and products on its Marketplace. In addition, federal law strictly prohibits individuals from producing distilled spirits at home, therefore, such products are also prohibited from sale on Walmart Marketplace.

Alcoholic beverages, including: Hard liquors (e.g. vodka, whiskey, brandy, etc.) Beer Wine and fortified wines (e.g. red/white wine, port, champagne, vermouth, wine coolers, etc.) Hard Ciders Mead Hard seltzers or Aperitifs and cordials Mixers that contain alcohol Ingestible products containing alcohol (e.g., alcohol filled chocolates/candy, alcohol-soaked cakes, etc.) Powdered alcohol Distiller/distillation equipment and kits Moonshine making equipment and kits Wine distilling equipment and kits	Any marketplace seller who sells and delivers bitters (i.e., cocktail bitters and digestive bitters) must comply with state-specific laws  Any marketplace seller who sells and delivers non-alcoholic spirits, wine and/or beer must comply with state-specific laws  Empty collectible alcohol containers are allowed only if clearly identified as empty	Kombucha, fermented teas and vinegars  Ginger beer, Birch beer, Root beer and other non-alcoholic craft sodas Home fermenting equipment and kits for making wine, beer, cider, mead, etc.  Cooking wine if less than .5% of alcohol by volume and the label clearly states there is less than .5% alcohol by volume  Wine tannins  Non-alcoholic drink mixers
