Overview

Walmart Pre-Owned is an invite-only program designed to help enable participating Walmart Marketplace sellers list or sell gently used or pre-owned items also referred to as Non-new merchandise, and other similar products that meet the applicable item condition requirements on Walmart.com. If you haven’t been invited to participate in the Walmart Pre-Owned Program and you sell Non-new merchandise, you must follow the policy below.

What is the policy?

As of December 2023, only approved sellers who follow the below requirements for the Walmart Pre-Owned Program will be allowed to continue selling these non-new condition items. Only product types approved by Walmart are allowed to be listed in non-new conditions. Items that are prohibited aren’t eligible to be set up in your Marketplace catalog. If you haven’t been invited to participate in the Walmart Pre-Owned Program and you sell Non-new merchandise, you may be eligible to participate in the program at a later date.

Additional guidelines

You must include clear and conspicuous labeling to the customer for every Non-new merchandise listing on Walmart.com. The product title must explicitly display the item’s condition and that the product is considered gently used or pre-owned. However, you may not use the word "used" in your product title. If you don’t follow the guidelines below, your listing will be removed from Walmart.com.
