Split customer orders in Seller Center

Overview

Sometimes, all the items in a customer’s order can’t be shipped together due to size or limited stock availability. In these situations, you can choose to split the order and ship items individually instead. Keep reading to find out how.

How to split customer orders 

Step 1 — Find the order 

Navigate to the Orders page and use the Order # drop-down menu or the Purchase order# column to locate your order. Select the purchase order number link.

Step 2 — Split the order 

Select Ship items. Then, navigate to the drop-down menus and select Ship and the quantity of items you wish to ship. For the remaining items, select New.

In the Shipping details section, enter the carrier and tracking number and select Mark as shipped to split the order. When you’re ready to ship the rest of the order, simply use the same purchase order number to repeat the process for the remaining items.
