Overview

Sometimes, all the items in a customer’s order can’t be shipped together due to size or limited stock availability. In these situations, you can choose to split the order and ship items individually instead. Keep reading to find out how.

How to split customer orders

Step 1 — Navigate to the orders dashboard

In Seller Center, select the Orders dashboard. Then, locate the multi-item order you want to split by searching or selecting the Purchase order# (PO#).

Step 2 — Split the order

Select Ship items, then choose the quantity you wish to ship now in the drop-down menu. Select Ship next to the quantity. Designate the remaining items as New. Under Shipping Details, enter the Carrier and Tracking number as usual, then select Mark as shipped. This effectively splits the order and tells us you’re shipping some items now.

When you’re ready to ship the rest of the order, simply repeat the process for the remaining items using the same PO#.
