Overview

Once you’ve been vetted and approved to join Walmart Marketplace, selling and item limits will be applied to your account and adjusted based on your sales volume, performance metrics and customer feedback.

What is the policy?

Your selling and item limits are based on the information you provide during the verification stage of onboarding, and on your performance during your selling and item lifecycle.

Once you’re approved to sell on Walmart.com, you’ll receive a notification in Seller Center and via email with your assigned limits. We recommend enabling notifications to receive emails as your limits continue to be adjusted. For more information, visit Manage notifications in Seller Center.

Notes

Walmart will continuously monitor your account and contact you before you’ve reached your limits. If you reach or surpass your limits, Walmart will pause your account to determine if modifications to your limits are necessary.

Additional guidelines

If multiple restrictions are placed on your account, you must resolve them before any further action can be taken. Until your ability to operate on Walmart is fully restored and approved by Walmart, no selling limit appeals will be considered.

Once all issues are addressed and resolved, you’ll become eligible to submit a selling limit appeal. To start an appeal, visit the Account hub page in Seller Center. This page helps verify your eligibility and directs you to the correct process for submission.

After you submit the plan of action, Walmart Marketplace will contact you about the appeal decision. Selling limit appeals are handled in the order in which they’re received.

Notes

Item limits are not eligible for appeal. By submitting a selling limit appeal, you agree that you understand and will comply with the Marketplace Seller Code of Conduct and Walmart Marketplace seller retailer policies. Submitting an appeal doesn’t guarantee that your account will be reinstated.
