API keys allow third-party Solution Providers to access your Walmart Marketplace account data, so it’s important to only generate keys for trusted providers. Only sellers with admin level access can generate API keys. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to generate an API key for a third-party Solution Provider.
If you do not have admin level access, reach out to your account administrator for help.Â
Generate an API Key
Step 1 – Get started
Navigate to the Developer Portal. Enter your login information. On the API page, select the Add New Key For A Solution Provider button. Â
Step 2 – Choose your Solution Provider
From the drop-down list, choose the Solution Provider you want to generate a key for. Select Next.Â
Step 3 – Choose permissions
Set your permissions by specifying the level of access you would like to grant to the Solution Provider. When you’re done, choose Submit.Â
Step 4 – Grant accessÂ
On the next page, you will see your Client ID and Client Secret. Copy and paste these into your Solution Providers platform to allow them to access your Walmart.com account data.
