What is WFS?
Walmart Fulfillment Services is a logistics service allowing retailers to store their inventory in some of our distribution centers. When a customer purchases a product on Walmart.com.mx or BodegaAurrera.com, we manage the processing, packaging and shipping of the products on your behalf. Additionally, WFS provides full customer support and handles returns.
This model allows you to spend more time focusing on increasing your sales, with the confidence that your orders will be delivered in much shorter times and with outstanding customer service.
The WFS experience, from start to finish, comes with the benefits of Walmart’s signature omnichannel logistics, which will drive you to increase the visibility of your products.

     How does it work?

    • Create an account in Seller Center and add your products. Then, create or convert your products to WFS
    Continue shipping your items to the designated Distribution Center, where we will store them, prepare them for delivery, and handle any questions or concerns of the customer who buys your product.

    WFS offers a competitive, cost-effective solution from start to finish. Our simple and transparent pricing model includes fixed monthly storage fees and shipping rates based on your item's weight. We offer a simple rate, free of hidden fees or monthly subscriptions!

    Product Requirements

    There are a few requirements you need to consider before shipping your products to a Walmart distribution center:

    • Your products must be shipped from within the United Mexican States

    • Do not ship products that require temperature-regulated care

    • Do not ship Prohibited Products (hyperlink)

    • Do not ship products over 68kg (actual and/or volumetric weight)

    How is the WFS model different from industry competitors?

    Walmart is a pioneer in transforming retail channels to an omnichannel experience, which means we work hard to build a simple and transparent logistics operation for your products. We make the (entire) Walmart network available to sellers through WFS so they can reach new customers. 

     Do I need to be a Marketplace seller to apply to WFS?

    Yes, in order to be accepted into WFS, you must have an account to manage your products.

     What is the ideal inventory for WFS? 

     We recommend all WFS sellers to send their best-sellers, premium brands or new catalog items. In terms of quantities, we suggest shipping at least 10 pieces per item. Review our terms and conditions  for more details. 

     What can I do to accelerate my sales growth faster?

    • Prioritize new items and brands from our Marketplace

    • Select competitively priced products

    • Ensure you provide quality information in your listings

    • Maintain sufficient inventory to meet market demand

    • Join the Walmart Connect program to enhance the visibility of your offers.

    Is there a Walmart.com.mx or Bodega Aurrera.com badge for WFS items?

    WFS items display a “Shipped by Walmart/Bodega Aurrera” message indicating that Walmart will deliver the order. This increases customers' trustworthiness during purchase decisions, leading to an organic increase in visits.

     How does the customer returns process work?

  • Walmart processes and manages all returns. We ask customers to return their purchases to our distribution centers or Walmart/Bodega Aurrera stores, where we will review the condition of the goods and process them according to our return policy.
