How does it work?
W-9
If you are a U.S.-based seller with a U.S. Employer Identification Number (EIN) and your country of incorporation is the United States, your tax classification is W-9. Additional documentation, such as a copy of IRS documents CP575, 147c, or CP148B, may be requested.
Â
W-8ECI
If you have an EIN and your country of incorporation is not the United States, your tax classification is W-8ECI. To be eligible to sell on Walmart Marketplace, SG, you must include a copy of IRS CP575, or 147c.
W-8BEN-E
If you do not have an EIN and your country of incorporation is not the United States, your tax classification is W-8BEN-E. We currently support this tax classification for sellers from China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK), Japan, Canada, Mexico, India, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany, Vietnam, Thailand, Türkiye and Chile.
