How does it work?

If you are a U.S.-based seller with a U.S. Employer Identification Number (EIN) and your country of incorporation is the United States, your tax classification is W-9. Additional documentation, such as a copy of IRS documents CP575, 147c, or CP148B, may be requested.

If you have an EIN and your country of incorporation is not the United States, your tax classification is W-8ECI. To be eligible to sell on Walmart Marketplace, SG, you must include a copy of IRS CP575, or 147c.
