Overview

Boost your product conversions on Walmart.ca by ensuring strong review coverage and user-generated content. Online shoppers increasingly rely on ratings and reviews, making it essential to implement a robust strategy. Reviews left on your Walmart Marketplace Canada listings are regulated by the Competition Bureau and must comply with applicable laws and the Walmart Canada Reviews Policy. In this guide, you’ll learn how ratings and reviews are generated and how you can manage them.

How Does it Work?

If a customer has opted to receive emails from Walmart, they’ll receive an email five days after purchasing a Marketplace item with a request to leave a review for the product and for the Marketplace seller. If the customer doesn’t open this email, Walmart sends a second email seven days later.

Customers who haven’t opted in to receive these emails won’t be asked to leave a review but still have the option to leave one on the item page or in their purchase history.

You can view your reviews and customer feedback insights through the Listing Quality dashboard in Seller Center. Through this dashboard, you can identify what went wrong with an order and create a plan to make it right by contacting the customer, initiating a refund or tracking the order.

Additional Guidelines

Reviews can be received from various sources and can be identified on Walmart.ca by badges or footnotes next to the reviewer’s name. The table provides information on the types of reviews you may find.
