  1. From the Partner Profile page, click on the Company Info tab.

  1. The  Company Info section has 2 areas:
    • Company Details:
      • Display Name: The name of your company as it appears to Walmart.ca customers.
      • Display Name (French): The name of your company as it appears to Walmart.ca customers shopping in French.

2. Make changes to your Display name if needed.

3. Click the Save button.

The Manage Contacts section allows you to provide operational and business contacts for your company. To update your contact information, review the Manage Contacts in Seller Center article.

Shipping

Shipping Options

The Shipping page gives you access to the following sections:

  • Shipping Rates
  • Standard Processing Schedule
  • Additional Days Off
  • Shipping Policy

Your shipping options are all handled on the same page. Once you are satisfied with your changes, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Notes

  • The fields presented in the Shipping Rates section of the Shipping page are determined by the shipping model that you are using. If you don't change your shipping model, you can still update the shipping methods and shipping transit times for that model at any time.
  • You can change your settings for individual items.

How to Set Your Shipping Rates

  1. Click on the Shipping tab.
  2. From the drop-down menu under Choose the criteria that impacts the cost of shipping, select your shipping model.

You can choose from the following shipping models, after which you will be asked to update the shipping methods and transit times for your selected model:

    • The Price of the Total Order: This model means that you charge shipping based on the total order value.  Shipping costs are set up in tiers based on order price range.
    • Item/Weight Pricing: This model means that you charge shipping based on the weight of your items (per pound), or you charge shipping based on the number of items purchased in an order.

3. Under the shipping model drop-down menu, there are a series of tabs that allow you to configure shipping methods for the shipping model that you chose

The following tabs are displayed:

  • Standard: We require that you offer standard shipping to Walmart.ca customers.
  • Express: These transit times should be faster than standard.

4. Select the tab for the shipping method you want to configure.

5. If you haven't set shipping rates for a method, click the  Set Shipping Rates button. The tab for that method will be populated and you will be prompted to fill out all of the details in regard to transit times, shipping rates, etc. for each of the regions that you have selected to offer shipping. Review our Marketplace Shipping Standards for expected fulfillment and shipping settings, before filling out these details.

6. For each shipping method, use the toggle under  Enable to enable or disable the regions that you ship to. Red means you don't support that region for the selected method, and green means that you do. Check the "Include PO Box" option for each region where you will support shipping to PO boxes.

Notes

The regions supported can be found in Canada Shipping Regions.

7. In each shipping method, for each region that you ship to, configure the Transit Times fields. This provides us with an accurate estimated date of delivery to Walmart.ca customers. The chart below shows the target transit times that should be achieved by each region, for standard shipping. Express Shipping should be faster than the time ranges listed here. Basic

Superior

Total Transit Time
by Country of Origin

  • Canada: 5 business days
  • US: 10 business days
  • China: 13 business days
  • Canada: 3 business days
  • US: 6 business days
  • China: 9 business days

8. Item/Weight Pricing: If you have selected the item/weight pricing model, you will be asked to provide a rate and a shipping and handling fee.

For example, if you charge $.39 per pound and have a shipping and handling fee of $5, you would provide those two pieces of information if you have selected Per Pound. If you charge $5 per item and no shipping and handling fees, you would provide that information if you selected Per Item.

Updating Your Standard Processing Schedule

The Standard Processing Schedule section of the Shipping page indicates the days that are set aside for processing orders and the times you stop processing orders for a given day of the week.

For example, if you are closed on the weekends:

  1. For Saturday and Sunday under the  Do You Ship? column, you select:
  2. Under Cutoff Time (PST), select the time you stop processing orders (in PST).
  3. If you have any variation in weekday cutoff times, you can choose to set Monday through Friday individually by clicking on Show Weekday Options under Monday - Friday.

Adding Your Additional Days Off

The Additional Days Off section of the Shipping page allows you to select days of the year that you will not process orders that aren't covered by your Standard Processing Schedule. For example, if you indicate that you don't work on Sunday and then there is a particular company holiday that falls on a Sunday, you don't need to explicitly mark that day off because it's already treated as an off day.

In addition to marking days off, you also have the ability to add working day exceptions to override your Standard Processing Schedule. For example, if you normally don't process orders on Sundays, but you do want to process orders on a specific Sunday, click that specific date in the calendar to make it appear as a working day. This will turn that date on your calendar from a grey color to a white color, indicating that you process orders on that day. The colors on the calendar are as follows:
  • Grey: Non-work day based on your Standard Calendar Settings
  • Blue: Non-work day based on your Additional Days Off setting
  • White: Work day

Return Policy

Your Return Policy is shown to customers on Walmart.ca and provides an opportunity for you to describe how you handle returns.

To add your Return Policy information:

1. On the Partner Profile page, select the Return Policy tab.2. Under Return center address, provide the receiving address for your Return Center. This is where we will ship goods that have been returned by customers to a Walmart store. Your Return Center must be located in Canada or the United States of America. Use the country toggle to switch between these options.

3. Provide the details for the primary contact at your Return Center under Return center contact information.

4. When returns are received in store, they will be shipped back to you via your Preferred Carrier. In this section, please provide the carrier name, your account number and the carrier’s phone number for both parcel and LTL shipments.

  5. Use the Return Permissions section to indicate the disposition rules for each of the categories you are currently selling on Walmart.ca. This section is optional. Click "Add New Category" to get started. Categories and sub-categories are based on the same ones found in the item spec documents. You may only set one disposition rule per category/sub-category combination. Available disposition rules are "Return to Seller" and "Recycle". For more information on these disposition rules, please refer to article In Store Returns.

6. To facilitate return shipments to you, we will require a blanket RMA Number which can be used for all return shipments.

7. If you are based outside of Canada, we will need information for your customers broker in the Customs Broker section. This field is not required for Canadian based sellers.

8. The English and French sections of the Return Policy have standard returns verbiage that can't be edited. Review the Marketplace Returns Policy for more information.

9. Click the Save button to add your Return Policy to your profile.

Tax Info

When a Walmart customer purchases an item on Walmart.ca, they are charged shipping sales tax and sales tax for the item. The amount they are charged is based on a number of factors, but a portion of that information is collected on this page. Each of the following sections must be completed in order for you to launch.  This is where you provide information about the physical locations of where you operate as a business so we know whether or not to charge customers sales tax. To learn more about setting up your sales taxes in Seller Center, please read Configuring Sales Tax Collection and How to Obtain Supporting Tax Documents.

Shipping Sales Tax Codes

You need to provide sales tax codes for each supported shipping method so that we know what to charge Walmart customers for shipping. You only need to provide sales tax codes for the shipping methods you support. To understand more about the sales tax codes Walmart uses, refer to the article Shipping Sales Tax Codes .
