Walmart does not charge any setup or monthly fee. We only charge a reasonable referral fee on the sold products, usually in the range of 8-15%, depending on the category. The fees per category are listed at Commission or Referral Fees For Contract Categories.

We allow a very broad range of products on our site, so we're excited to hear about yours. Of course, we require all sellers to follow our policies, which include some limitations, so please review our Prohibited Products Policy for more information.

Walmart will pay you in CAD. You must register with Payoneer, our marketplace payment partner, to receive your Walmart payments. Payoneer has options for you to receive the money in USD. For more details, please see our help page at Set Up and Update Your Payment Info.

Currently, we are accepting sellers based in Canada, US, UK, China, Hong Kong, and India. Sellers don’t need to be registered in Canada to work with us. However, they must have a Canadian Business Number (BN) and must be set up as a Non-resident Importer (NRI).

Walmart Marketplace sellers set the price for their entire catalogue.

Walmart Marketplace sellers are required to meet a minimum set of return policy requirements while defining their return policy for customers to have a consistent and easy returns experience. Customers can return items to the seller by contacting the seller directly for return instructions or by returning the eligible items to a Walmart Canada store if the conditions in a seller’s return policy are met.

A warehouse in Canada is not mandatory. Products can directly be shipped from outside Canada.

While you can go live on the platform with English content, we expect that you will have French content uploaded, as required under the applicable law, immediately following the completion of your English upload.

By joining the Walmart Marketplace Canada, you have the opportunity to reach 14 million unique Walmart.ca visitors each month (source: Walmart internal data) and to join the thousands of suppliers and sellers that call themselves Walmart partners. As a Marketplace seller, you will have control over your business, including inventory, retail pricing, fulfillment and customer care.

Walmart runs promotional programs occasionally and our sellers could participate in them with competitive offers. They also can work with an account manager to determine strategies to increase sales.

Once our team reviews your completed application. and providing that it is approved, you will receive the seller agreement and a link to sign up to the Seller Center portal to complete the item upload and go-live. The overall process can take 10-20 days. More details can be found at Complete Onboarding in Seller Center.

While the vetting process would be faster and the onboarding process will be very familiar for you, we would require you to submit an application at Start selling with Walmart. Also please note, that the two Seller Center accounts will be different.

You can apply for your Business Number as a non-resident importer on the Government of Canada website.

You will receive orders in your Seller Center portal. In addition to checking for them throughout the day, the administrator for your account can set up email notifications in Seller Center.

The following transit times are recommended: • Standard shipping: 2-5 business days • Express shipping (optional): 1-2 business days However, the seller can make any adjustments to their transit times as necessary to reflect their average ship times. Yes, if you have a Seller Center account in another country and you see the link feature available in your non-U.S. Seller Center account, you may link your accounts. 

You will be able to view all linked accounts and linking history within the Link Your Accounts section in Seller Center.
